Level 1 Optional 21 CreditsPurpose:
To understand earth as the home of people and our place within it.The course is divided up into 6 main themes: Extreme Natural Events (focusing on earthquakes), Sustainability (focusing on tourism in Tongariro National Park), Skills (which includes mapping, graphing, visual interpretation, values, statistics and geographic concepts), Research (exploring a hypothesis and gathering research and presenting it), a contemporary New Zealand geographic issue, and examining a topic at a global scale (cyclones).Course Contribution:
