Keightley Watson has taken a reluctant four to six week break from training through injury (fractured fibula) that was forced his withdrawal from the Oceania Champs in New Caledonia, Chronicle 5/4/18.

Competing in the Bremen Master Open in Germany, Keightley had a strong start with a win first up but took a knock to his fibula bone on his leg. He continued on into the next fight & was leading on points, but further knocks to the area meant that he could not continue & subsequently withdrew from the competition to get x-rays on the damage done. They revealed a hairline crack of the fibula, Chronicle 29/3/18.
