Geography field trip to the South Island took in some fantastic sights

The Geography field trip to the South Island took in some fantastic sights over 9 days. First stop St Arnaud, on to Hokitika (via the Pancake rocks at Punakaiki) and the third night at Fox Glacier. Next was two nights in Arrowtown, hoping to find fortunes panning for gold in the Arrow river and then facing fears as students took on the bungy at the Kawarau Bridge, followed by the Queenstown gondola and luge. Amazing scenery at Mount Cook and a special experience getting up close and personal with the icebergs on Lake Tasman in front of the Tasman glacier. A chance to experience the freezing conditions at the Antarctic Centre in Christchurch and then the thrills of a jet boat ride in Hamner Springs, followed by the hot pools. Last stop Kaikoura before heading home to Whanganui.
