Whanganui High School Chess

Friday 30 August, our Chess team took 1st place at the Whanganui Chess Power Regionals. The team included Callum Heap (Year 13), Bruce McGregor (Year 9), Jake Newton (Year 12), Sam Penwarden (Year 10), Francois Joubert (Year 13), and Harrison Smith (Year 13).

Callum Heap was also 2nd place individually, and Bruce McGregor was 3rd.
