Whanganui High School Sports

A dedicated team of WHS riders competed in the North King Country Schools Motocross event on Friday, 28th February. With scorching temperatures creating dry and dusty conditions, the track proved challenging, resulting in multiple crashes throughout the day. Despite this, WHS riders remained unscathed and demonstrated great resilience, adapting well to the conditions and improving with each race.

Results:

Finn Lennox (15–19 125s) – 4th overall (6-3-4)

Leah Bullock (Open Women’s) – 7th overall (10-8-6)

Levi Bunn (Novice 125/250s) – (15-19-7)

Leo MacPhee (Novice 125/250s) – (23-16-10)

All riders showed impressive progress throughout the day as they adjusted to the demanding track. WHS finished 16th out of 43 teams—a commendable achievement in a highly competitive field.
