Whanganui High School Sports Exchange Te Paepae o Aotea

As you can see from the photos, we were treated to a stunning day for our Sports Exchange with Te Paepae o Aotea in Hāwera. The weather was incredible, and the mountain put on an amazing display.

WHS returned home with the shield after impressive victories in Boys Basketball, Boys Football, Golf, and A1 Netball. Our Boys Volleyball team and Debating team both put in outstanding performances but were unfortunately edged out in closely contested matches.

A huge thank you to all of the coaches and teachers who gave up their time to support our students throughout the day. We'd also like to extend a special thank you to William Waitokia and Merengaika Hetet-Peina for leading us through the pōwhiri. You both represented WHS exceptionally well, and we are incredibly grateful for your contribution.
