Annie comes to the Opera House - April 2015

ANNIE is introduced to the Warbucks household by Grace Farrell (Millie Manning).

Wanganui High School's biennial production moved to the Opera House for final rehearsals this week.
Annie the Musical, with a cast of 97, a student crew of 41 and an orchestra of 17 is another big production from the school renowned for its quality musical theatre. Nine staff members have assisted the students, more than half a dozen Friends of the Opera House are on board to help and the orchestra - under the baton of Liam Wooding - comprises a good number of community musicians.
Shaila-Anne Hawkins plays the orphaned redhead who gets a taste of the good life after years of indifferent treatment at the hands of orphanage manager, the ever inebriated Miss Hannigan.
Annie plays from Wednesday, April 29 to May 2 and tickets are available from the Opera House.
