Congrats to our sports men and women - October 2015

Congrats to our sports men and women who were nominated for the Wanganui Secondary Sports Awards tonight at Girls College Hall.

WHS took out the:
Junior Sportsman of the Year Kasey Watson, Judo,
Senior Sportswomen of the Year Erica Tanner, Kayaking and Multisport,
Senior Team of the Year U18 Girls Double Rowing, Kayla Spencer and Jessica Brougham.

Blair Osborne also received 1 of 5 financial awards from the 'Future Champions Trust' fund.

Our top sports teams also got recognition for competing at a high level in their sport. A1 Netball, 1st XI Boys Hockey, 1st XV Rugby, Girls Softball, Mixed Touch.

Our Head of Sport prefects, Sammy Murphy and Tim Rowe got recognised for their contribution to sport at school.

A great night had by all..... Well done WHS!!
