First home game for 1st XV since the flood - June 2015

Wanganui High School 1st XV winners over Eketahuna-Bush on Saturday in the first home game of the Manawatu Colts division competition.

First home game since the flood and the boys were ready for a run.  Game against Ekatehuna at school 1pm. 

Great work from WHS saw Chris Breuer turn possession over which started off a great try which was finished by Harerangi Meihana.  Conversion also successful by Harerangi Meihana.  Score 7-0 WHS. 

Great Grinding from Ekatehuna saw them score under the post conversion successful.  Score 7-7 draw. 

A penalty against Ekatehuna saw Harerangi Meihana convert a penalty kick from 40 meters out.  Score 10-7 WHS. 

Ekatehuna kicked the ball down the field where Jessey Kemp returned set the ruck and then hands out wide where Sheldon Pakinga scored in the corner.  Conversion unsuccessful Score 15-7 WHS. 

Half time score 15-7 WHS. 

A good carry from Kalib Houltham saw Chris Breuer score 10 meters out from the line.  Successful conversion from Harerangi Meihana.  Score 22-7 WHS. 

A good turn over from Corban Warren saw the backs get the ball out to Jessey Kemp where he ran 70 meters to score next to the post.  Conversion successful by Harerangi Meihana.  Score 29-7. 

Ekatehuna show they won't give up and score 20 meter to the left of the post..  Conversion unsuccessful.  Score 29-12 WHS. 

Final Score 29-12 WHS.
