Gillespie battles conditions for 4th - September 2015

A strong final round in horrible conditions saw ex-pat Wanganui Golf professional and former WHS student Nick Gillespie finish fourth at the Men's Carrus Open in Tauranga on Sunday. After an opening 71, Gillespie carded 68, 65 and then 64 in torrential rain which flooded the course. Local Mark Brown was the winner of the opening leg of the Jennian Homes Charles Tour with a combined 266 score, followed by Jim Cusdin and Manawatu amateur Josh Munn (267), then Gillespie on 268.
