Interschool cricket wins against Kapiti College

Interschool cricket exchange between Kapiti College and Whanganui High School went well on Tuesday April 2nd.

1st XI and Junior Colts played.

Good team effort by both teams to win both games. 

1st XI won 168/6 with Kapiti making 166 all out. 

Keightley Watson in his return to cricket hit a massive 6 towards London St, making 38 runs.  Jack Donaldson 31, Thomas Friedel 29 and Nathan Hoobin 15 not out. 

Pick of the bowlers were Charlie Meredeth 3/21, Jack Donaldson 2/32. 

Great team effort in the field by our 1st XI team.
Good finish for the season. 

Junior Colts won 209/3 and bowled Kapiti out for 80 runs. 

Batting Levi Hoekstra 55 retired, Lucas Smith 20, Charlotte Stent 18 not out. 

Bowlers Henry Carver 3/13, Logan Rippey 2/0 and Charlotte Stent 2/14.

Excellent wicket keeping by Ethan Sutherland and fielding by the team. 

Big thanks to coaches Eric Head and Steve Meredeth and Mr Parry and Mr Marr for umpiring. 

Good luck to the Junior Colts for their last inter school tomorrow against Hawera High.
