Roman wins Junior Māori Speech Competition

Congratulations to Roman Kotuhi-Brown, who won the Rāwhiti Ihaka Junior Māori Speech Competition at Ngā Manu Kōrero Regionals held in Opunake yesterday!

We are incredibly proud of Roman’s achievement, as well as the Kapahaka who travelled in support of Roman.

Roman now turns his focus to the upcoming National competition, which is to be held in Palmerston North, 10-12 September 2019.

A pōwhiri will be held at Whanganui High School on Monday morning to bring Roman and his tāonga, his whānau, and the kapahaka back to the school in accordance with Tikanga.

We are all so very proud of how Roman and the Kapahaka represented Whanganui High School!
