Every year NZ Chef Salons hold competitions around the regions, putting to the test front of house and table setting, static displays of culinary art and frenzied activity in ‘hot kitchens’.
All competitors start with 100 points and gradually lose them for technical or practical mistakes. Whanganui competes in Taranaki.
This year WHS took 5 students and 6 static entries to Western Institute of Technology in New Plymouth on Monday 18 June.
With thanks to chef mentor Dean Wong.
