Tyson 2nd in Miss World NZ pageant

Karla de Beer was crowned Miss World NZ 2016, along side runners up Jess Tyson, left, and Cosmiana Brown, right.

Former WHS student Jessica Tyson came second in the Miss World NZ pageant on Saturday night.  

Miss Tyson, who works for TVNZ as a journalist and won the Miss Teen World Supermodel and Miss Teen South Pacific contests, represented East Auckland.

The new Miss World NZ is Karla de Beer.
