Whanganui apprentice runner-up in regional competition

PASSIONATE APPRENTICE: Whanganui carpentry apprentice  and former WHS student Jack Aplin (right) with his employer, Glenn Wadsworth of W&W Construction, at the Central North Island Apprentice of the Year awards last weekend.

Jack finished second in the regional event, part of the Registered Master Builders Carters 2017 Apprentice of the Year competition.

The judges said Mr Aplin showed "an absolute passion" for commercial construction work.
