The Toss: Cullinane captain Raemon Teki (left) and WHS counterpart Quinn Mailman flank umpires Shaun Anderson and Thomas Redpath at the toss, won by Cullinane.

Congratulations to our 1st XI Cricket team with a win against Cullinane yesterday to take out the Wanganui T20 competition. Cullinane batted first making 90/5 off 20 overs.

Bowlers from WHS that stood out were Reece Hoobin 2-14, Jack Donaldson 1-16 and Quinn Mailamn 1-25.

WHS went into bat and started poorly with 5-45 until Quinn Mailman came on and took control with 71 n/o which was well supported by Nathan Hoobin making 7 runs and Y9 Ryan Donaldson 6 runs n/o. WHS won 93/5 and now go through to the Central Districts Final in Palmerston North on Thursday 30 March with reserve day on Friday 31 March.

Awesome work from the team, Coach Eric Head and Manager Greg Hoobin.
