WHS Arts/Cultural stars

Shaila-Anne Hawkins and Te Paerata Tichbon - Arts/Cultural Dux for Whanganui High School 2016.

Our Arts/Cultural Awards were held at the Wanganui racecourse Eulogy Lounge on Thursday 20 October.  There was a viewing of students amazing Art Boards before the celebrations began.  It was a very successful night which included a fantastic performance by former student Marino Mariner.

2016 Special Arts Awards Year 13

Dux Artium - Female: Shaila-Anne Hawkins.
Dux Artium - Male: Te Paerata Tichbon.
Principals Award for Excellence in the Arts: '29 Below' - Stage Challenge.
Outstanding Leadership in the Cultural Life of the School
& Co-Curricular Involvement in the Cultural Life of the School: Grace Jones.

Other Significant Arts Awards
NZ Secondary School's Brass Band: Ethan Mancer.
Selection to the NZ Young Shakespeare Company: Vincent Collins.
