WHS Māori Awards

Kato McDonald - Māori student Dux for Whanganui High School 2016.

Our Māori Awards were held at the Wanganui racecourse function centre on Thursday 27 October.  It was a very successful night which included fantastic performances by Pasifika and Kia Whaiora. There was also a surprise singing act of three senior students; Tuupuhi Karaitiana, Raumati McDonnell and Wiremu Rogan which was stunning!
It was an extra special Senior Māori Awards eveing this year, with it being our 10 year anniversary of celebrating Māori Students achievements.

Principal’s Cup for Outstanding Contribution to Pasifika - Manea Kotuhi-Brown
Maori Leadership Female - Tuupuhi Karaitiana
Maori Leadership Male - Mitchell Millar
Female Leadership Pasifika - Anastasia Tamaniyaga
Male Leadership Pasifika - David Mariner
