WHS were overall winners of the Central 6 Junior Sports

WHS were overall winners of the Central 6 Junior Sports on Friday in Wanganui.

Six schools competed in the competition in 5 sports - touch, cricket, volleyball, tennis and athletics. 

WHS won touch and cricket, came 2nd equal in tennis, 3rd in volleyball and 2nd in girls athletics, 3rd in the boys. Sophie Andrews got a PB in Shot Put 9.97m and Max Campbell got a PB in High Jump 1.58m. 

Schools competing were WHS, Taradale, Kapiti, Havelock North, Cullinane and City College (who stood in for Freyberg & Tawa). 
Thank you to Cullinane and City College for being part of the day!

A BIG thank you to all the WHS staff - you helped run the day......You are AMAZING!! 

Well done to our junior school who competed in the sports and represented our school outstandingly.
