Wooding comes home for solo piano recital

Pianist and former Whanganui High School student Liam Wooding returns to Whanganui for a solo recital this Friday at 7.30pm in the Prince Edward Auditorium at Collegaite School.

"I'm very excited to present a recital in Wanganui this Friday," says Liam. "It's so nice to be back home!

"After this concert I play the same programme (and more!) for my final exam at the University of Waikato, again in New Plymouth and finally, in Auckland as a semifinalist for the Wallace National Piano Competition. Your support as an audience is invaluable and I hope you can make it.

"True to my style, I'll be playing an eclectic mix of works including those by Haydn, Liszt Messiaen, Ginastera and New Zealander Jenny McLeod."

Proceeds from this concert will go towards the Organ Restoration at Wanganui Collegiate.

Tickets are available at the door - $20 / $5 for students. Payment by Cash or Eftpos.
