Maggie Jones wins silver at the NZ Track & Field Champs 2020

🥈 U18, 300mtrs Hurdles - NZ Track & Field Champs in Christchurch...

Our 3 Athletes who competed at the Track and Field Nationals this weekend in Christchurch had a great weekend!

Maggie Jones competing in the U18 grade claimed the silver medal in the 300mtrs hurdles on Friday in a new personal best and school record of 46.03sec.

She backed this up on Saturday with the 2nd fastest time in qualifying for the 100mtrs hurdles, and then took silver in the final in 14.71sec, another P.B, and school record and a time that will put her on the U18 world rankings.

Travis Bayler competed in the 800mtrs where he qualified for the U20 final and finished 5th, he backed that up with a personal best in the U20 200mtrs.

Kyra Engel competed in the 100mtrs, and 200mtrs where she did her fastest time since coming to WHS.

All 3 are also competing in 4x100 or 4x400mtr relays for Manawatu / Whanganui as part of the nationals.
