Girls win Sevens Rugby Tournament

WHS Sevens Rugby teams played in the Wanganui Sevens Tournament yesterday at City College. 

WHS Girls team won the competition and now head to New Plymouth to try and qualify for the Condor Sevens.

Our Boys team that came 2nd were a team made up of 1st and 2nd XV boys that played extremely well only coming together for the day. 

A few of our sevens players were injured and unable to take part and are also part of our NZ Champs of Mixed Touch preparing to defend their title in December. 

A Big thanks goes to Dylan Bowater and Griffin Culver for Coaching the boys and Denning Tyrell and Cherie Cowan-Puru for coaching and managing the girls.

All the best in recovery after getting injured to Tuupuhi Karaitiana and Apenisa Kuruwaca.
