Rolling on the river

GOING STRONG: WHS students Liam Lace and Jack Clifton went on the earn a Top 5 finish when the September round of the 2017 Winter Series finally got underway on Sunday.

The Under 15 coxed four crew of WHS students; Ella Dudley, Zeah Brewer, Mikayla Manville, Feyth Hogan and cox Niamh Mullany also earned a Top 5 finish (Photo below).

For the third consecutive month, rough weather conditions on the Whanganui River saw the 2017 Winter Series moved from the second Sunday to the third.

Results:

1. Trevor Rush (AWRC), 95.15; 2. Jonty Thomson, Levi Carroll (AWRC) 93.37; 3. Pat Carroll (UBC) 93.08; 4. Liam Lace, Jack Clifton (WMC) 91.73; 5. Ella Dudley, Zeah Brewer, Mikayla Manville, Feyth Hogan, cox Niamh Mullany (AWRC) 91.19.
