To build upon previous studies, to develop an understanding of the natural and cultural environments, and develop an understanding of the environment as the home of people. Main studies include: a natural geographic environment in New Zealand (Coastal Processes, examining the Kapiti Coast); Cultural Processes (Tourism Development in Queenstown and the Gold Coast). Contemporary geographic issues and geographic issues on a global scale (Global Tourism), as well as planning and carrying out geographic research in the Kapiti Coast.
